This smaller frame was pretty damaged on the corners. The wood on the corners was missing or too damaged to attach the newly made pieces. For the corners new wood had to be fit into the existing frame to create a base for the molding pieces to be attached to. Once the location of the new molding pieces were laid out the wood where the holes are was removed with a small dremel tool. After the new pieces and fill-ins were completed on the corners and all sides where they were missing, the existing color on the frame was color matched and the entire frame was repainted, and the raised details were highlighted with a gold bronze powder.
